New Stainless Steel Vacuum Kilns: Less Maintenance, Greater Efficiency
Technology never stops. And neither does the pursuit of efficiency.
Romanutti Legno has recently completed a major infrastructure upgrade, installing new vacuum kilns made entirely of stainless steel.
This strategic choice aims to improve daily operations while also reducing extraordinary maintenance costs over time.
Unlike traditional galvanized steel kilns, stainless steel models don’t corrode over time and are far more resistant to humidity and the aggressive agents involved in the drying process.
The result? Greater reliability, consistent performance, and fewer production stoppages.
But that’s not all: the excellent conductivity and resistance of stainless steel also contribute to higher energy efficiency, allowing for more uniform thermal control throughout the drying cycle.
Upgraded equipment: the numbers
Our current kiln setup includes:
- 20 vacuum kilns with plates – 4.5 m³
- 7 vacuum kilns with plates – 10 m³
- 1 air-based vacuum kiln – 10 m³, ideal for more delicate woods or thicker sections requiring controlled airflow and heat.
This configuration enables precise drying of many different types of wood, adapting each cycle to the specific characteristics of the material being treated.
Innovation with an eye on the future
With this upgrade, Romanutti Legno reaffirms its position as a reliable technical partner for companies seeking high-quality wood drying, even for complex projects or premium timber species.
