Vacuum pump without water consumption: towards even more sustainable drying
As part of our ongoing evolution, even the most technical innovations can have a positive environmental impact.
We are currently testing a new vacuum pump model for our drying kilns, designed to operate without water supply.
This is an advanced system capable of maintaining high performance even without the traditional water cooling usually required in vacuum cycles.
Why does it matter?
In an industrial context, water saving is not a detail — it’s a responsible choice.
By reducing — or potentially eliminating — water use in vacuum pump operation, we can:
- reduce pressure on local water supply
- simplify waste water management
- contribute to more rational use of natural resources, which are now more precious than ever
Our goal is to maintain high performance in wood drying, while optimizing every environmental aspect of the process.
One test, one commitment
This test is part of a series of actions that Romanutti Legno is undertaking to make industrial wood drying increasingly green — without compromising the quality and technical reliability that have always set us apart.
A small, technical yet concrete step towards a more sustainable production process.
